The Twins

We have a new niece and nephew in our family! Lyndsay Rose and Hunter Scott arrived on Sunday, April 13. Lindsay weighed in at 4lbs 9oz and Hunter is 4lbs 10oz. Its amazing how big our family is getting. Ben and me went from having one nephew(Tristen) to having 7 nieces and nephews and one on the way.Its truly amazing.

Finally!

The cat is out of the bag. I had a secret that I had to keep for nearly a week. Let me tell you it was very hard. I'm going to be an aunt again! I'm very excited. Jennifer is due in December. All I can say is least its not another April birthday. For those who don't know April is a very busy month for our family. We have five as of right now with a possibility of seven,(my sister-in-law is due soon with twins). It is the year for babies. Four babies in one year. Wow! I'm thinking we all need to find some new hobbies;)

Happy Birthday Riley!

Its hard to believe its been four years since Riley was born. Some people told us we weren't ready to have a child or that it would change everything. They were right. I didn't expect to love a total stranger unconditionally and that I would do anything for her. As you wait the nine months for your child to be born, you start planning all the things you'll teach her or the things you'll do together. You never plan on the things she'll teach you. Here are a few things I've learned from Riley.

3. You may not get answers to your questions (or the answers you want)

4. To be honest

5. To laugh at yourself

6. Being quiet may not be a good thing

Becoming a parent wasn't at all what I expected it has been so much more and worth every happy,tiring,hair-pulling, patience-trying rewarding thing I'll ever do. Happy Birthday my Little Teacher.
